November 4, 2024 (week 9)
Thanksgiving Poem (2 weeks)
Student will download the Thanksgiving poem found below under related files. They will center the poem, change the font style, color and size. They will use word art for the title of their poem. Students will find two pictures in clip art which they will insert into their poems. These pictures must be formatted so that they may be positioned. Finally, student will add their name, room number and students number as a footer to the project. They will print their project once they are finished.

Thanksgiving Games Online
Students will play select games from my Thanksgiving Game Page. Instructor will demonstrate the different games. They will observe how instructor goes from tab to tab accessing the different games. They will then have an opportunity to play them.
November 27, 2024 (week 11, day 4)
PowerPoint, The True Meaning of Christmas (2 weeks)
Students will be given a PowerPoint template they will use to create a poster about the true meaning of Christmas. They will insert a text box and write 3 good sentences on what Christmas means to them (correct punctuation/capitalization). They will include their complete name and room number here. They will save their projects to their folders with 'Christmas and first name'.
The second week they will retrieve their projects, import 4 pictures to illustrate their sentences. One of the picture must be religious in theme. They will print and turn in their project once they are finished.

January 6, 2025 (week 13, Day 6)
Kidpix Christmas Booklet and Slideshow (6 weeks)
Students will create a slide show about what they did during their Christmas vacation. They will start by creating a folder on their desktop where they will save each of the four pages they create. The first page will be a cover page with a title and their full name. The second & third page will illustrate an activity they did during their vacation along with a text box on each page with a complete sentence. The final page will also be illustrated with a reflection thought. They will save each page with a page number so they know the order to put it into their slide show onto their desktop. Finally, they will put each page into a slide show, which they will save with their name. They will add sounds and transitions between each slide. They will print out all 4 pages and compile them into a book. The final week we will view each other’s slide shows in a musical chairs method.
March 4, 2025 (Week 20)
One-Hour Coding with Studio Code (2 weeks for now)
Students will log into accounts created for them at Code.org. They will work on the Classic Maze coding game.
They may move to Star Wars once they have finished with Classic Maze.

April 8, 2025 (week 24)
Easter Games Online
Students will play Internet Easter Games from Mrs Graber's website. Three games will be open in different tabs. Students will be shown how to navigate the tabs and play the different games.
April 14, 2025 (week 24, Day 5)
Email to Jesus (2 weeks)
Students will reflect and review upon their preparation to receiving their First Holy Communion. They will view a sample email to Jesus on the ActiveBoard and then download a template and write their own. Once they have finished writing this, they will print it out and have an opportunity to verbally share it with their class. Students will download email templates from under related files found at the bottom of this page.
May 14, 2025 (Week 26, Day 5)
One-Hour Coding with Studio Code, continued if needed for 2 weeks
Students will log into accounts created for them at Code.org. They will continue working on the Classic Maze coding game.
They may move to Star Wars once they have finished with Classic Maze.
