Education.com (2 weeks)
Students will work on their Education.com accounts. They will continue on their Reading and Writing adventure.
November 15, 2024 (week 10, Day 4)
Thanksgiving Games Online
Students will play games from my Thanksgiving games page. The browser window will be open for the students along with 3 games in tabs for the students to navigate.
December 2, 2024 (week 12, day 4)
Kidpix, The true meaning of Christmas (2 weeks)
We will watch a short Story about St. Nicholas (which will be viewed from file)
Students will access the Kidpix software. They will insert a text box and write 2 good sentences on what Christmas means to them (correct punctuation/capitalization). The first sentence will start with 'Christmas is' and include the true meaning of Christmas. The second sentence may be anything about Christmas. They will add their name to the project.
The second week they will retrieve their projects, and draw the true meaning of Christmas along with anything else they might like to add. We will print their projects.

Students will play games from my Christmas games page.
January 6, 2025 (week 13, day 6)
Education.com (2 weeks)
Student will continue playing on their education.com games.
January 17, 2024 (week 15)
'Snowmail', learning about email
(HDMI 3) on active panel, go to home, select either downloads or mail, select pencil tool)
Students will view an email on the Active board from Frosty. They will answer questions as a class regarding it while also filling in their own worksheet. They will address who wrote the email, who it is to, who it is cc-ed to, etc. Students will also review and use email related vocabulary.
January 24, 2025 (week 16)
Valentine’s Day Card using Print Shop 2 (2 weeks)
Students will use The Print Shop software to create Valentine's Day Cards for their parents. Instructor will demonstrate how to set up a blank, quarter-fold card. They will be shown how to use the different features of the software. Students will insert a border, a picture, and a text box with a greeting. They will save this with their name to the desktop.
They will open the project the second week of classes and work on the inside. They will insert a text box with 'I love you!' and one additional complete sentence, their first name, last initial and room number. They will print the projects the second week in time for Valentine’s Day. They will start the project the first week, save it to their desktops, retrieve it the following week, finish and print it.
February 11, 2025 (week 18)
Kodable and Hector’s World (4 week for now)
Students will watch one of the 6 Internet safety videos found at Hector's World at the start of the class. The first unit will be 'Keeping your personal information safe'. This is split into 5 different ten minute videos. They will also view one on Cyberbullying and Computer Security weeks 6 & 7.

Week of March 20, 2025 (week 22)
Kidpix Easter Project (2 weeks)
Students will use the Kidpix software to create an Easter Project. They will start by inserting a text box and answering the "Easter is..." writing prompt with at least 5 words. Student's first name will also be inserted in the text box. Students need to spell the writing prompt correctly and use capital letters and punctuation. They will save their project with their first name and room number to their desktop.
The second week, students will retrieve, finish and print their projects the second week. The picture should pertain to the Resurrection of Jesus to some degree. They will print their project with the help of an instructor when they are finished.
Week of April 8, 2025 (week 24)
Easter Games Online
Students will play Internet Easter Games from Mrs Graber's website. Three games will be open in different tabs. Students will be shown how to navigate the tabs and play the different games.
Week of April 28, 2025 (week 25)
Mother's Day Card (2 weeks)
Students will create a Mother's Day card using the Print Shop application. They will be shown how to access the program. They will select Greeting Cards from the project menu, start from scratch, quarter-fold tall, and start working on their card. They will personalize the card inserting pictures and text.
Students will start the outside page by inserting a border, will add a picture and a text box with 'Happy Mother's Day'. They will increase the font size, change the font color, and change the font style. They will save their projects with their names to their desktops.
The second week, they will move to the inside. They will insert a text box and write 2 good sentences to their mother. They will sign it with I love you and their name. They will print their project.
We will print the card together the second week to ensure correct printing.
May 6, 2025 (week 26)
Father's Day Card, Print Shop (1 week)
Students will create a Father's Day card using the Print Shop application. They will be shown how to access the program. They will select Greeting Cards from the project menu, start from scratch, quarter-fold tall, and start working on their card. They will personalize the card inserting pictures and text.

Students will continue their adventure on the Brainzy accounts if they are done with the daily requirements.

This was excellent. There is no log in but I used it for an entire class period with the students who finished the Kodable unit in 2 weeks. I then used it again from the start for all students for 1 more class period.
